5. 초록

The purpose of this paper is (1) to describe KISTI’s performance in the document delivery service for the last 3 years (2) to introduce electronic document delivery service as a user-oriented document delivery method and (3) to review Korea’s copyright laws to accomplish seamless document delivery service.
Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) is the nation’s information center which has comprehensively collected, analyzed and managed science and technology information resources for the country since 1962. KISTI has delivered over 350,000 documents in the last year in collaboration with 11 institutions in 8 foreign countries and 780 domestic institutions to help users improve information accessibility and availability. KISTI has developed electronic document delivery service system, e-DDS, which delivers documents directly to users' desktops via the web. This system is designed to meet users' needs while maintaining the protection of the rights-holders.

한국과학기술정보연구원(KISTI)은 해외 과학기술정보의 체계적 입수, 분석, 관리를 통해 학계 및 산업계의 연구활동과 기술개발을 지원하는 사업을 수행하고 있다. KISTI는 해외 핵심 과학기술정보를 선정하기 위하여 “KISTI 정보자원 개발 정책”을 수립하고 합리적인 학술지 수집을 위해 많은 연구를 수행해 왔다. 이 연구는 이러한 노력의 일환으로 국내에 유통되지 않은 과학기술분야 해외 핵심 정보자원을 발굴하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 지난 6년간 KISTI를 통해 해외에서 복사ㆍ제공된 원문서비스 실적을 분석하였다. 특히 학술지의 이용빈도, 인용빈도, 비용대 효과 분석을 실시하여 국내 수요에 입각한 해외 핵심 정보자원을 선정하고자 하였다.

5. 초록 :

90년대 중반을 전후로 도서관의 자원은 인쇄매체에서 전자매체로 그 비중이 옮겨지고 있다. 전자자원의 평가는 매체의 특수성으로 인쇄자원과 다른 기준으로 평가되어야 한다. KISTI는 정보자원의 유통 서비스를 위하여 인쇄자원을 구독하지만, 전자자원의 경우 원내 연구원들의 연구ㆍ조사 목적으로 활용되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 KISTI가 구독하는 과학기술분야 전자학술지 패키지에 대하여 객관적 평가 방법인 비용대 효과 분석을 중심으로 평가하고 내년도 구독계획에 반영할 수 있는 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다.
